From February to April 2019, I was an apprentice at Leader Textile & Fibre Industries, located at Ximending in Taipei. Under the guidance of traditional tailors, I learned the process of constructing a suit — from getting the measurements, drawing pattern pieces, pattern-cutting, making pockets, using a traditional sewing machine, to assembling the understructure of a blazer.

It was a very humbling experience to witness the strenuous and detailed process behind the thoughtful construction of a blazer and a pair of trousers.
